Character Bios:
MIA LAMBERT - Mia is college age. She's slim and exotic, despite being raised as a tomboy on her fathers ranch. She has a longer Bob-cut hairstyle, and she's a natural beauty. She doesn't need much make up if any. She has eyes that promote an inner strength despite however frail she may look or however she may seem to lack in strength. She's very smart, quick witted and reacts well under pressure. She is also a person who deals with Antinociception: the argued, mental and/or medical inability to feel pain or pleasure, or just simply lacking the sense of touch. This symptom allows Mia to function beyond the usual capacity of someone who should be crippled in massive pain. She can be one tough bitch when she needs to be.
DALE BANNISTER - Dale is a 40's aged, stout man of average height - about 5'-10" or more. He could be viewed as pudgy by some or probably one step from having weight issues, but he currently holds his weight well all over. He is smart and also a smart ass. He is sarcastic and cynical, though they are his usual options of expressing stress and/or anger. His profession is as a History Professor at the local college. He is an animal lover, automobile enthusiast and has a eye for detail. He would do anything for his lovely wife, Greta.
GRETA BANNISTER - Greta is a 40's aged, naturally beautiful woman - slim and somewhat tall - probably 5'-7" or more - not taller than Dale, though. She actually looks younger than her age. She is the epitome of her profession, a Psychiatry Professor at the local college. One can see her thinking through a heated and/or important conversation or situation. She is naturally blunt, sometimes cold, sometimes sarcastic and usually also epitomizes what people would call, a bitch. She knows when to play the humor card, though, and she is hard to turn your eyes from. She a tidy homemaker, a stargazer, has great manners and would do anything for her loving husband Dale.
THE HURTING KIND: After a car wreck and shooting, an older couple stops to help a strange girl who suffers from Antinociception (no sense of pain or pleasure). Complications arise when she takes them hostage, escalating in a night of revealed secrets and brutal vengeance.
The Hurting Kind is finally on its way to serious fundraising!
We are currently seeking funding from pre-qualified, accredited private investors to launch the ship to keep Shreveport's motion picture industry competitive and successful, much in the way The Last Lullaby has done for our city/region.
The Hurting Kind's success and planned sequels should play a vital role in this process, utilizing local infrastructure as well as city/parish/state tax credits.
